Uni - Vinicius Cajado & Kenji Herbert duo, is an improvised set recorded late at night at the Judson Memorial Church in NYC in early 2019. Fluidity, communication and a sympatico rooted in a shared musical heritage and vision shine through on this recording. Playfully exploring the full sonic potential of their respective instruments, double bass and electric guitar; their dialogue is a fine balancing act between intellect and instinct, noise and compositional integrity. Uni is a fruitful meditation on what can still be explored and expressed by improvising musicians of the 21st century.
